Get fit to play squash! Squash is one of the most physically demanding sports in the world. Jogging, running, rope-jumping, and light weight-lifting are all good cross-training activities for squash. Also, when you hit your return, you should hit it along the side wall at least nine out of ten times because it is the safest possible shot, with the highest likelihood of success. If you return the ball cross-court back to the server, they get an easy shot without even having to move. And you will very likely have a long way to run! The side wall return (also called a 'rail return') should be your standard serve return.

IIIn fairness to all, we ask that you observe these few simple steps concerning court booking.

  • MEMBERS CAN RESERVE COURTS UP TO 7 DAYS IN ADVANCE.
  • PUNCH CARD & DROP IN CLIENTS CAN RESERVE COURTS 2 DAYS IN ADVANCE.
  • WHEN RESERVING COURTS, BOTH NAMES MUST BE RECORDED. LAST NAMES (Indicate member, punch card or drop in.)
  • NO DOUBLE ADVANCE BOOKING. 1 COURT PER DAY. (Should you come in and a court is available or if you wish to extend your game and the court is available, we welcome you to take the court.)
  • PLEASE USE PENCIL WHEN BOOKING.
  • ALL MEMBERS MUST CHECK IN AT MEMBERSHIP SERVICES PRIOR TO TAKING THE COURT.

About Squash Yukon

Squash Yukon is the official sports governing body for squash and its players in the Yukon and is mandated to promote the growth and development of the sport.

The Squash Yukon Executive, a volunteer board comprised of seven members, works to develop and implement programs and policies aimed at promoting an environment in which players can enjoy the sport of squash and ensure its continued growth in the Yukon. Squash Yukon promotes the participation in squash through the sponsoring or sanctioning of a number of tournaments each year. The aim of this is to provide players with an opportunity to play with both local and visiting players in a friendly but competitive environment. It is hoped that these events help players evaluate their development and introduce players to new opponents.
